Three months after the murder of America Street money-changer, Shawn Nurse, known as ‘Fabulous’, another suspect was today hauled before the court and charged with the capital offence.
The 25-year old construction worker, Kacey Heyliger, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ court this morning, where the indictable charge was read to him.
In February this year, the 47-year old man was shot and killed during a robbery while he was plying his trade on America Street.
Heyliger was not required to plea to the charge and was remanded to prison until May 21.
Kerwin DaSantos called ‘Buffy’ and George Hope called ‘Gregory were also jointly charged for Nurse’s murder.
The nearby CCTV cameras around the area aided the Police’s case and helped to identify the men. After reviewing the footage the police were able to make the arrests.
Just last year, Nurse was robbed, but was later able to identify three of the persons who had allegedly committed the offense.
