The man was caught on the victim’s bed fast asleep with her mother sneakers on his feet. Paul Narine, 43 admitted that between July 6 and July 8 at Ketley Street, Charlestown he broke into the house of Onika Sanford and stole $70,000 worth in items. He was sentenced to 24 months jail.
Iswan Singh, 32 was also jointly charged with the offence and he pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was released on $70,000 bail and the matter is adjourned until July 30.
There are reports that on the days in question, Narine broke into the home and stole the items. He then handed it over to Singh.
It is alleged that Narine remained in the woman’s home and slept on her bed.
On July 8 the woman returned to her home and found a foul smell eliminating from the house.
Upon checking the home the woman found Narine fast asleep in her bed with her mother’s sneakers on his feet.
