Post- Mortem examination conducted on the remains of Destiny Holder, the 2-month-old infant who was found dead beside her 18-year-old mother revealed that the child died from “Sudden infant death syndrome”.
This was related to family members this morning after the PM was completed. Sudden infant death syndrome is an unexplained death of a baby younger than 1-year-old usually associated with sleep.
At her Newtown home, Tinisha George, mother of the infant said she and the baby retired to bed Friday night and she recalled breastfeeding the infant at the time, but she fell asleep and apparently, her breast came out of the infant’s mouth and the breast milk may have gotten into the child’s nostril.
Baby Destiny was born a one week shy of seven months, her mother said.
